The 14th International Conference on Orange Technology
2026 - The 14th International Conference on Orange Technology
ICOT 2026 brings together researchers, engineers, and practitioners to explore technology that advances health, happiness, care, and sustainable human development.
Research scope includes computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, psychological science, cognitive science, social science, and design + technology.
About ICOT 2026
The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution inviting member countries to measure the happiness of their people and to use this to help guide their public policies. The first World Happiness Report was published by the United Nations in 2012, which reflects a new worldwide demand for more attention to happiness as criteria for government policy. This also calls upon science and technology in both natural and social domains to be developed for promoting a happy and healthy lifestyle in our modern society.
Orange technology is a newly defined interdisciplinary research area for integration and innovation of health, happiness, and care technologies to address the needs. Orange Technology, together with Green Technology, forms the double helical structure of sustainable human development. Instead of emphasizing the relations between environments and humans, as proposed by green technology, the orange technology aims to discover the relationship between human development and happiness, and bring more health, happiness, warming care, and more mental wellness to the society.
International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT) was previously held in Cheng Kung University (ICOT 2013), Northwestern Polytechnical University (ICOT 2014), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (ICOT 2015), Victoria University (ICOT 2016), National University of Singapore (ICOT 2017), IDEAS LAB (ICOT 2018), Changzhou College of Information Technology (ICOT 2019), Kyungpook National University (ICOT 2020), Cheng Kung University (ICOT 2021), Cheng Kung University (ICOT 2022), Kyungpook National University (ICOT 2023) and National Cheng Kung University (ICOT 2024), Maranatha Christian University (ICOT 2025) All conference Proceedings could be found on IEEE Xplore.
The research scope includes computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, psychological/physiological science, cognitive science, social science, and technology (design + technology). The 14th International Conference on Orange Technology (ICOT 2026) will be held in Malang, Indonesia. ICOT 2026 will provide an interactive forum for researchers, engineers and vendors from different disciplines to exchange ideas and experiences, identify future directions and challenges, as well as promote developments and applications of orange technology. This conference will significantly benefit a large variety of audiences from both academic and industry. You are cordially invited and most welcome participate in ICOT 2026.

Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length, four-page papers, including figures and references, for the 14th International Conference on Orange Technology (ICOT 2026). All submissions will be handled and peer-reviewed electronically through the Microsoft CMT system. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore scope and quality requirements.
General Information for Paper Submission
Regular session papers form the core of the ICOT 2026 technical program.
- Length: Papers must be no longer than 4 pages, including all text, figures, and references.
- Abstract: The abstract should be about 100-150 words.
- Subject Area: All papers must indicate a Primary Subject Area to be appropriately reviewed.
- Review: Paper submissions are reviewed by experts selected by the conference committee for their demonstrated knowledge of conference topics. Regular Session papers are reviewed identically and are subject to ICOT main conference acceptance rates.
- Dual submissions: By submitting a manuscript to ICOT 2026, the authors guarantee that it has not been previously published (or accepted for publication) in substantially similar form. Furthermore, no paper that contains significant overlap with the contributions of this paper either has been or will be submitted during the ICOT 2026 review period to either a journal or a conference.
- Presentation guarantee: By submitting the paper, the authors guarantee that if the paper is accepted, it will be presented at the conference by one of the authors, except in case of emergency as determined by the Technical Co-Chairs. Furthermore, the presenter must register for the conference at one of the non-student rates offered and must register before the deadline given for author registration. Failure to register before the deadline will result in automatic withdrawal of your paper from the conference proceedings and program.
